We’re pleased to announce that the Quin app is now live in the App Store, available for people over 18 who are based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
Quin is a free, mobile medical app that helps people who take insulin make more informed diabetes management decisions.
The app shows users what’s likely to happen to their blood sugars over the next five hours in the Quin ‘What’s Ahead’ graph, based on previous sugar readings taken from Apple Health as well as food and insulin recorded in the app. The more frequently information is recorded, the more personalised and accurate the ‘What’s Ahead’ graph becomes.
Quin has been running a diabetes research programme to help develop the app and improve research methods into diabetes since 2017. We’d like to thank all those who have taken part in the beta user programme so far and who have contributed their time and knowledge to helping us improve and get to this significant milestone.
Whilst the app is now available, we are planning an official launch later in the year once we have had a chance to work closely with our users in the live environment of the AppStore to further develop and build on the app and our research.
As we work to develop the live app over the coming months, we welcome feedback and appreciate your continued support in the efforts we’re making to advance understanding around diabetes and insulin treatment.
If you’d like to try the live app and let us know your thoughts to help contribute, you can download it here.
We’re excited to be starting this new phase of our journey and look forward to sharing our official launch with you later in the year when the app will be released to a wider audience.
