Type 1 diabetes is poorly represented in the media, and here at Quin, we think it’s time to change that. As a part of our campaign to challenge the diabetes aesthetic in the media, we want to create some examples of positive representation.
We will be creating a set of stock images that reflect the real lived experience of people with type 1 diabetes, and we are looking for a photographer to capture them in a novel, creative and artistic way.
What exactly that looks like is up to you: we’re offering a fully funded photoshoot to the photographer with the best vision for diabetes stock images, as decided by our community on social media.
If you have ideas, all you need to do is submit a creative brief in whatever format you prefer – it could be written, drawn, or even a short presentation – as we well as your portfolio to email@example.com before the 18th of December 2020. If you’re shortlisted, your brief will be shared for our followers to vote on, and the photoshoot will take place in early 2021.
